Update #1: I'm getting better at waking up on time!

I successfully woke up at my alarm 4 out of 5 times this week-- WOOOO! (the one failed attempt I'm going to blame on the fact that Mike was working from home and it threw off my schedule... but in reality I just was lazy. whoops)

 

So what have I been doing? Well, following the #1 piece of advice you guys gave me, I've been going to bed earlier. It probably also helps that I finished the book I was reading, so now I'm not tempted to read that in bed until midnight. hah.

 

I've been putting my phone across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off.

 

And right next to my phone, I've been leaving my journal. Before I go to bed, I've started jotting down a few things that I am excited to do the next day. So I force myself to read my "excitement" list right after I get up and turn my alarm off, and that definitely urges me to STAY awake and get moving.

Here's an example of one morning's excitement list. Obviouslyyyy one of my exciting things was burning the new candles. I mean... the "duh!" says it all.

 

And also, as much as I don't like to admit that this is helping me wake up-- it's seriously just a willpower thing. It's not like I'm not getting enough sleep. It's just that I have zero willpower to get out of bed in the morning. I don't have a boss that will yell at me for being late. I can technically sleep in as long as I want without repercussions. So really the biggest thing I needed (still need) to work on is my willpower to get out of bed when my alarm goes off and just STAY awake rather than climbing back in bed.

 

Update #2: New things are in the works!

OMG I had the best idea of my whole entire (business) life on Wednesday and I am super pumped to start putting it into action!

 

This is a bit of a sketchy pic because I don't want to give away all my notes ;) but this is 5 pages of brainstorming! UMMM YES. So pumped. I'll explain more next week :)

 

Update #3: Hair cutz

I know I promised you a new hair cutting video today or Monday but it will probs be towards the end of next week instead. I might cut a bit more so I want to wait until I'm completely done before I publish the video :)
