It's been practically FOREVER since I cut my hair and promised you guys a video.

Well, here's the thing. I didn't like that video.

But I did learn something important from that video: it is NOT smart for me to make a hair cutting tutorial the first time I do a certain haircut. I need to do it a few times so I feel comfortable and know how it's going to turn out. The one I did a few weeks ago (where that screenshot above is from) was really confusing and basically not at all helpful to anyone who would want to replicate what I did.

So I redid the video yesterday! :)

Here's the new version. I plan to record another in a few months (after I do the cut another time or two) but for now, this will show you how I did it in case you want to try!

Also, here's a link to the article I used as a basis for the cuts and these are the hair cutting scissors I use :)

Oh, and if you're just catching up with my hair cutting journey-- check out my old posts! The first time I cut my hair, second (with video, that now has 30,000+ views! WHAT THE HECK!!), third! I'm obsessed with doing it myself now :)

Have you ever cut your own hair?

What's your haircut like now-- long? short? layers? bangs?
